啁啾光纤光栅是一种折射率调制周期沿纤芯偏向线性转变的光纤光栅，其主要特点是大带宽，一样平常可以抵达几纳米或几十纳米 。啁啾光纤光栅通常对信道划分举行赔偿，可以通过设计，很利便在色散赔偿的同时买现色散斜率赔偿，并且还对放大器的ASE 噪声有附加的滤波功效 。容易实现器件的小型化 。啁啾光纤光栅还可用于多波长光源的稳固合成、短光纤激光的整形、以及制作稳固一连波和可调锁模外腔半导体激光 。光纤光栅传感解调手艺中，也需要用到具有特殊反射波形的啁啾光纤光栅 。
