Description
F-tone Networks' ultra-compact CWDM is based on TFF platform. A series TFFs are attached to a metal base. Multiple wavelengths incident to the filters at certain angle with one band of wavelength pass through while all other bands of wavelength are reflected. To make it ultra-compact, folding mirrors are used and light path is zigzag form. The integrated optical and mechanical components are then quasi-hermetically packaged. The function of such CWDM device is to combine multiple wavelengths into single fiber or send different wavelengths to separate fiber. The device works uni- or bidirectional. Multiple fibers are coming out from the same side of device to make the fiber management easier.
